This is an award-winning print campaign for CORK (Canandaigua Wine & Knowledge); a program that helped restaurants increase thier wine sales through training videos and support. We created these humorous ads to help introduce the program and the characters in the ads actually became quite popular.

HEAD: If you're going to make sugestions, you'd better know what you are talking about.

COPY: When making a wine recommendation, you can never be too careful. No one, after all, appreciates bad advice (consider how many mothers-in-law win popularity contests).

That's why, when the Undercurrent restaurant decided to "relax the dress code somewhat" in honor of Biker Week, the wait staff was understandably a bit worried.

"What if they 'pooh-pooh' my wine recommendation?" said head waiter Francis, wringing his hands nervously.

No problem. In preperation for the week, the wait staff decided to call CORK.

The CORK program is built around wait staff training and education. (Even though it doesn't take a degree to know that using words like "pooh-pooh" around bikers is a "no-no".)

After all, it worked for Francis (or "Frenchie," as his new biker buddies call him). After recommending "spirited chardonnay" to compliment the table's pork tenderloin, Francis recieved a hefty 20% tip and a ride "on the wild side."
